"Cut to Size" Style

a truly custom made strap

medium brown/tan/brown stitch

A pair for Ron in California, medium brown and black

No matter what style of guitar I play, even my bass guitars, the same length strap works for me. I haven't changed the length of my straps since I started playing in 1962. That's true for many players. But people are so used to having mass produced straps that were designed to fit almost anyone on the planet, they expect it to have an adjustment range of a foot and a half or more . But if you ask them when was the last time they adjusted the strap length the answer is usually 'when I bought it'.

Sometimes less is more. A 'Cut to Size' strap is simple and functional. Some players opt for two holes at the back end. I space them 2" apart. That allows for just a slight adjustment, and also helps accommodate the difference of winter / summer weight clothing.
